Had a good seat about row three centre stage. Richard & Linda Thompson were the support act. Wow!!! I didn’t realise how good a guitar player Richard Thompson was. He was excellent and they were a strong support act, getting everyone in the mood with their close harmonies and intricate guitar work.
Gerry Rafferty opened up with “The Ark” from the “City to City” album and the crowd responded noisily. He had them in his pocket from then on. He couldn’t fail with the band line up he had which included Rafael Ravenscroft. Excellent gig with Gerry in fine form.
