The Hollywood Music Festival was held at Leycett in an area called Hollywood on the grounds of Ted Askey's Lower Farm at Finney Green, between Madeley Heath and Leycett, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England, on 23 and 24 May 1970.

kab2112 SUBS 9th Apr 2023		The magazine advert for this festival lists the artists due to appear and the cost for the two day event (50/-) which is £2.50p in decimal currency as it became to be known. That works out at £1.25p for each day. You would get about a half hour parking for that these days.

kab2112 SUBS 2nd Jul 2020		Review I think that Mungo Jerry were the stars of this festival. They had just released "In The Summertime" which was played on all the radio stations. Free and Black Sabbath gave excellent performances. I seem to remember the "Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia " played a guitar solo that just went on and on an on. Of course the "Dead Heads" loved it. I was not impressed. I was never that keen on Jose Feliciano and felt that he was out of place here. A lovely weekend with decent weather and eveyone seemed to be in "Tie Dye" grandad shirts. Don't remember too much about the other acts other than Ginger Baker playing stuff I didn't know. 6 people found this review helpful.   ✔︎ Helpful Review?
