 I say, that's remarkable Holmes!

Absolutely agree, and have changed date accordingly.

This was my folks', they used to go to Isle of Wight with Uncles and Aunts early sixties, they are vague about dates, except for the poster I'm trying to find of a date in 1969 featuring Bob Dylan... will put it up when I locate it.

Holmes offered me a brief glance, then turned his attention back to the sheet music on the stand. Resting his chin upon the violin, he took up his bow once more, and continued as if I'd never interrupted him, and closing the door, It was the vigorous rendition of Purple Haze that accompanied me out the front door... A sound I am not likely to forget for a very, very, long time.

 July 7th in the 60s only happened on a Sunday in 1963 and 1968 (factoring in a leap year). As the Springfields had split up by 1968, this must be 1963.

Elementary, my dear Watson...
