Burke gave me this personally after the gig when a bunch of us shifted the p a down the steps to the truck. As it was late 1980 the band were probably road polishing the songs before heading into the studio. Here is the ticket to the gig.

I have a pink Island "i" somewhere and I sold a Virgin young girl logo. Picked all 3 up at the Camden record fair about 1985 for £1 each.

Rather than bore people with 2 entries for essentially the same item I've added the other one under this one. Donal Gallagher, Rory's brother and manager gave me these. Note his use of the Grocer's' apostrophe.
Hawkmarty SUBS 19th Oct 2014		Music Memorabilia Hawkwind - Backstage Pass (1981)	The day of this gig I was in a musical instrument shop on Oxford Road in Manchester and Dave Brock's roadie came in to pick up an effect pedal that had been repaired. The shop asked for an extra £20 which he didn't have on him. I lent him the cash and he said I could pick it up at the door with a couple of passes. Didn't save me anything as I had already bought a ticket but had a great time.
Hawkmarty SUBS 17th Oct 2014		Music Memorabilia Motörhead - Backstage Pass (1980)	Back in the mists of time I was a member of the Motorhead fan club and bought an item from the merchandise list. Everybody who bought something was put in a draw for a meet and greet at the gig closest to where they lived. I won and was told I would be meeting the band at Cardiff Sophia Gardens. However, by then I was at Manchester University and they kindly switched me to there. Thanks again Helen.
