| jabdc5 23rd Sep 2024 |  | Music MemorabiliaThe Dave Clark Five - Photo | only Dave Clark was from Tottenham, in fact when Columbia signed them they were resident at the Basildon Locarno ,so it should really have been called The Basildon Sound. When the DC5 disbanded in 1970 their official press release stated they had sold 35 million records. Since then with very few releases the number has now magically jumped to 100m . The official chart record company Chartmasters indicate it is actually less than 40m. |
