	BEATLEJOHN ...and your "Byrd" can sing! Member since Jul 2010 4699 Points Moderator	The 2 Lps above are indeed "Promo Only" also included in this group would be the series of Warner Bros. "Loss Leaders" Lps (you couldn't walk into a retail store and buy them)....another category should be "Record Club Lp" Capitol, Columbia House, RCA and Longines were the main Record Clubs in the States, and produced many a non-commercial/retail Record club Lp....John Another Thought!!!....You might want to add a field that says "Record Club Cat. No."....whereas an alternate retail copy number might change a prefix (or suffix) over the years.....sometimes the record clubs would change the cat. no... Two examples from the Capitol Record Club: The simple version (usually used on Capitol and Capitol distributed labels) standard stereo stock copy of The Beatles "Revolver" ST-2576 record club version: ST-8-2576 The unpredictable version of all other labels: standard stock copy of The Beatles featuring Tony Sheridan "In The Beginning" on Polydor 24-4504 the same Lp Capitol Record Club version: SKAO-93199.....like I said....just something to consider........John Edited by moderator on 31st Aug 2013, 4:35 AM
