 | TopPopper Member since Mar 2013 2612 Points | Unlike cassettes, cartridges deteriorate with time and if you stick an old one into a player, there is a fair chance it will tangle or snap (which has happened to me). There are online tutorials on how to recondition them. Usually, replace the spongy pressure pad, and sometimes I think open the shell and lubricate the mechanism. Anyway, worth reading up before you go ahead with a treasured cartridge. |
