45worlds Forum - View Single Post - CD Box Sets with CDs on different record labels

	JPGR&B SUBS My aim - to add all my collections on 45worlds. Member since May 2009 4565 Points Moderator	With some of the recent Beatles box sets, they contain the group's earlier albums as CDs on both the Parlophone or Capitol, with the later albums on Apple. See: The Original Studio Recordings The Beatles In Mono, and The U.S. Albums These box sets are all clearly products by The Beatles company "Apple" but what should be the lead record company for the label entry? At present we have Apple, Apple and Capitol/Apple respectively listed as the labels for these box sets. I'm minded that we should put the lead label as the predominant label on the majority of the albums, i.e. Parlophone or Capitol, with Apple being added under the "Other Labels" box. I thought we were trying to avoid having combinations, such as Capitol/Apple, as the lead label entry. Views, especially from Orbiting Cat and Dr Doom?
