Have a look here too. This link and the Ginger Rogers one earlier talk about the American releases on USA Decca, which would probably be released as Brunswick in the UK, and UK Brunswick was owned by UK Decca. LP's weren't released on UK Brunswick until mid 1950 according to the same 1950 UK catalogue.

I thought the M 'small initial' might be a Scottish/Irish Mc - so McNaughton, etc. It looks like the owner was a child practising how to make their signature in "joined-up writing".
