I think boot fairs are the last stand for bargain vinyl now...

... since getting my vinyl down and reviving my interest, I've been to a couple of fairs this summer. I half suspected it wasn't going to be as fruitful as in the early nineties, and for the most part, wasn't disabused of this notion... the first one had just one box of LPs in the entire fair! and only one stall made the trip worth while, as I picked up almost an entire collection of Jimi Hendrix Track Record Singles, a couple of Stones 45s, and a Kate Bush single (Running up that hill gatefold).

But as for charity shops, which used to be good pickins' vinyl is bust now... the carcass has been picked clean of anything good...

But, all is not lost, as the rise of MP3 has caused the same phenomenon to occur in the CD market... I've been buying Digipack CDs with spare change this last week, nobody cares about the CD now on the high street... so now is the time to buy CDs!

Picked Up a Gold Pressed SACD of Nashville Skyline for a quid yesterday!
