Topic: Ace / Fantasy / Stax ??

 | cussincarryinon02 Member since May 2014 690 Points Moderator | Ace Records in the 90s issued material licensed from Fantasy which often was Stax in the end. For example, the UK CD issue of Ruby Johnson's songs ("I'll Run Your Hurt Away") from 1993 has a Stax cat# (CDSXD 049) but shows the copyright of Ace Records with the remark that it was licensed by Fantasy. Now what would the label be: Ace (UK) ? Stax (UK) ? Ace / Fantasy (UK) ? I didn't want to list this CD without clarifying the label issue first. Btw, I didn't find any similar entries in the CD Albums Cat so far. |
