Topic: Sony vs. Camden

 | Juke Jules SUBS Tell me he's lazy, tell me he's slow Member since Jan 2011 4151 Points Moderator | I have entered CD Album 500 Miles: The Best Of The Hooters, using the label Camden (Europe) The cat.no. would equally suit Sony so it would have been valid to enter it as Sony, and it is also debateable whether it is a UK release, or Europe or International. My thinking is that Camden is shown prominently on the disc; I presume that Camden dates back to the RCA days. Further, this release shows a url on the disc: www.sonycamden.com which now leads us to Legacy UK, 'about' > "Part of Sony Commercial Music Group UK" This then could be argued to be a UK release though everything else seems to make this a more widely distributed album GEMSMFAN has a list of CBS Group Labels - I wonder how Camden relates to CBS? |
