Bit of a convoluted story here ...

RCA Victor based in the city of Camden in the U.S. sate of New Jersey. In the 1950s (possibly but definitely in the 1960s) RCA launched the budget Camden label -- famous for junk low-price low-quality re-issues (fewer tracks, etc)

This label persisted until the 1970s I think.

Of course years later, Bertelsmann bought RCA, and then Sony bought U.S. Columbia which used CBS outside of the USA and Canada (for example). That all melted together when Sony and Bertelsmann merged.

In principle, stuff on Epic, for example could be released on RCA given that they are now one big happy family.

Getting to the point where I think that eventually you will have just one label -- ad to that I say -- :angry:
