Era records: Distributed by Dominion Music Inc.
7681 Washington Ave, South,
Minneapolis, MN 55435
Then the plot Thickens:
At 11311 Fifth St. South, Hopkins, MN 55343 we find:
Lotus Records
Era records Distributed by Dominion Music
At 11311 Fifth St, South, Minnetonka., MN 55343 (Minnetonka and Hopkins are adjoining small towns, about 5 miles,/ 8 Km north of that Minneapolis address)
Anyway, at THIS address we find:
Commonwealth Music
It gets better: after the mid 70's K-Tel's address is:
11311 K-Tel Dr.
Minnetonka, MN 55343
looking at Google maps, 5th st. south kind of makes a little swing south west about 100 yards/meters east of where Google puts the K-tel drive address (and when I ask for it in Minnetonka it defaults to Hopkins)
When I enter the 5th. St. south address in Minnetonka, it takes me to exactly the same spot.
I mentioned "Imperial House". I don't have a street address for them but I do show them at PO Box 880, Hopkins, MN 55343
All these releases have numbers that seem to fit seamlessly into the K-Tel
Numbering system (NU 9960, BU 4140, BU 5820 etc. etc.)
I don't have my finger on any at the moment, but I believe I have seen K-Tel CANADA albums with the Dominion and Commonwealth names on them, if I find any I can document I'll let you know.
