Within the 45's portion of the website, it is my understanding that if a record has a variance in the catalog number or song grouping, they should be listed separately.

So, what are the limits supposed to be regarding the listing of LP's?

I see some later issued lp's with earlier release dates than should be, based upon the catalog number used. While, as a for instance, LAURIE 1002 was in fact issued in 1959, I see LAURIE 2002 (a re-issue of the same package) being issued in 1959, whereas that was never issued before 1960. Or should LAURIE 1002 also be shown within that same listing???

And what of Stereo editions of the same lp that were also issued in Mono. Many early ones were basically the Mono electronically enhanced to simulate Stereo. And many of those share the same catalog number, albeit a slightly different prefix. But shouldn't they be listed within the same listing? And what of Stereo lp's that were unmarked. If they should be listed separate from their Mono counterparts, would it be still be proper to show the same everthing all over again?

Bottom line: As there are no definitive guidelines that I can find, what in fact are the guidelines to be used when listing LP's???
