Need some opinion on this label. I picked up a few 78s on the Scottish Clan label.

Scottish Clan

The label has no country attribution, but based upon a statement found here:

http://www.willstarr.com/willstarrrecords/discographyBillDean.pdf

NOTE:Scottish Clan seems to have been a Canadian label, that leased masters to an American company based at 1650,Broadway, New York City. It seems that the American company may have used the same catalogue numbers. There may be a connection with Thistle Records, another Canadian/USA label

Davie Gordon added a few just a day ago, and he attributed the label to the UK. I don't think that is right and they should all be moved to Canada.

Davie Gordon's entries

Plus -- there seems to be an issue with how to do the artists. In the case of Scottish Clan 121 I chose to list both of the names on the label, breaking standard convention. Davie Gordon chose to list them with just the first artist Scottish Clan 108. Not quite sure which is right.

Any thoughts

Amy
