Topic: Target CD's

Member since Jun 2014 3774 Points Moderator	Yeah, I was drawing the parallel between the work involved in rooting through CD jewel cases and stacks of 78s... The reason is that I often think of the tons of "rare" stuff which may be sat in these racks/piles of 78s for decades waiting to be found that people are looking for, and which may not necessarily be my thing... it'd be nice to be able to help other collectors out that way... another pair of eyes looking in another stack of records. Obviously if I found a Presley 78 I'd be skipping all the way to an auction house, but it pleases me to think that a target CD or a record that some one particular person has been seeking a long time could find it's way to where it needs to be by my efforts... on the racks of a person who will care for it and love it. It pains me to pass by all those records/CDs that are treated like rubbish, and that are ignored and left to rot simply because they haven't been discovered by the right person, and I don't have the knowledge or time to sift through it all and know what I'm looking at. Perhaps we should organise a town sweep one day, where we all get together and link arms, and scour the charity store bins from one end of the town to the other.
