That's a bit harsh. A single LP maybe. There are genuine highlights on the Plastic Ono Band and Imagine albums (off the top of my head, "Isolation", "Working Class Hero", "Hold On", "I Found Out", "Jealous Guy", "Gimme Some Truth", "How", "Oh My Love"). Add the best of the rest ("Instant Karma", "Mind Games", etc) and you have a fair body of work. Nothing compared to the Beatles, but then, who can compare to them? |
