Topic: artist field direction: should the composer be here, if s/he isn't playing or conducting?

Member since Aug 2012 6389 Points | when i add a classical item, the e.g. directs that anton bruckner should be listed in the artist field before claudio abbado and orchestra. bruckner is best known as a composer, and many of his pieces've been recorded without his active involvement as soloist or conductor. is it intended that composers not actively involved in recordings of their works be listed here in the artist field, when adding a classical lp/cassette/cd/78/45 ? |
