Topic: Alternate Title use

	sladesounds Turning rebellion into money since 1962 Member since Nov 2009 6570 Points Moderator	The use of the alternate title is for when a film is know by an English and non-English title or well known under two titles. One example - A film well known under 2 titles; USA title "American Reunion" released heavily outside of North America as "American Pie: Reunion". Another example - A foreign movie know also well known by its English title; the French movie "Les Diaboliques" was released successfully in English speaking countries as "Diabolique". With the example above if it was a Russian movie then yes "Враг общества" is the primary with "The Public Enemy" as the alternate. As it is there should be no need to list an alternate title as it is a USA made movie. Its use is not necessarily intended for translating every English titled movie into another countries language.
