Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) in June 1987 RISCD 1 Until the download era, I think the last #1 without a UK CD single was Partners In Kryme - Turtle Power in July 1990 Available on tape and vinyl, but no UK CD. The first UK #1 after that to be unavailable as a CD single was Gnarls Barkley - Crazy WEA401CD In April 2006, but the CD single was released the following week, so it only had one week at #1 without a CD single. Then in June 2008 there was Mint Royale - Singin' In The Rain 82876720482 That was download only, although it was first available in 2005 as a CD single, presumably long deleted and unavailable by 2008. I don't think the next one was on a UK CD single - an EU release only: Coldplay - Viva La Vida So either this or Mint Royale were the first UK #1 unavailable on the humble CD single! Any corrections or clarifications?
