The author states that "It was a joint-venture between Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. and succeeded Nippon Grammophon Co., Ltd.. The company represented a number of PolyGram labels in Japan, such as DGG, Polydor, Riverside, Verve, MGM, Archiv, and Daybreak but also Stax and Ricordi." The tape in question could well have been manufactured in Japan for US release. |
