It's nice to be able to say I can contribute a 78 now and again...

...As I've started taking the time to go through them when I see them in a charity shop.

(You never know... there may be an Elvis Presley in there, or a Gennet or Vocalion blues 78 that can fund my vinyl for me for the next five years  - Although none have turned up yet  ... Also have have been able to find the odd rare vinyl 10" lurking in them, like my Sidney Bechet And His Blue Note Jazzmen one, or the one I found yesterday - purely because it looked interesting - Arthur Smith: "Fingers On Fire" 10" on MGM)

But yesterday there was a big box of new stock in one of my favourite little secret charity shops - must have been someone's complete collection - and in there was what must have been a complete collection of Patti Page 78s - I'm not acquainted with this artist yet, but they'll probably be there in a month or so, if I decide to go back for them -

... but I did snag a Les Paul: Nola/Jealous, and another one which was just intriguing to me: Mabel Mafuya And The Junior Rockets: Phakhamile / Dumaza, on green Troubadour label, which, it appears is a South African disc.

(I'll be entering it in a bit)
