Hard core scanners take pride in using zillions of scans and multiple programs to produce one 800 X 800 image of a tatty old cover that's seen better days.
You and your phoney photo brigade need to have a good hard look at yourselves and remember the Scandinavian war of 1808-1809 while you're doing it. You'll probably remember it well judging by the albums you've been posting lately.
Anyway, in case you've forgotten just how tough things can be I'm willing to help you out and have a plan to help you fully appreciate the wonders of the modern world. When I'm not fiddling around doing 20-30 scans for one LP entry I often go back to the basics and practice my label image skills just so they're in top order when I enter my labels here on 45 Worlds.
To do this all you need is some 4" paper circles and a set of colouring pencils. Place the paper circles on the label and trace the details then colour in to match the label. It is time consuming and the results can be variable but a few hours of this is usually enough to get me back in front of the scanner with renewed zeal and enthusiasm.
Send me your address and I'll post you some 4" paper circles free of charge. You won't believe how effective it is. No need to thank me.
