I think it's difficult with this, as the medium allows more than vinyl logic, because of what a CD can hold. I personally define it as less than 8 different tracks - 7 or under. Only if the same title has been remixed to make the total more than 8 would I add as a CD single (There's one I looked at yesterday that had two discs worth of the same track mixed over and over). But "album samplers" I'm a little fuzzy on myself actually - should they be promos for album world? (modern equivalent of single sided demos). or are they EPs for single world (or still promos here)? Mostly you can tell the difference, and convert the vinyl logic, but there are a few that make you scratch your head... what the hell is a "mini album"... it's an EP isn't it... or an album?!!!
