	JohnBuckWLD I'm not the hero I could be, but not the dog I was Member since Oct 2014 19 Points	Assumptions based issues about the Bihari brothers Modern imprint(s) : 1) Based on the fact that releases with a Modern label can be seen near the top of the Modern Music page, those from 1946 and early 1947 (at a minimum) are reissues with first issue release dates. Example Modern Music #123 vs. Modern #123 2) There are a lot of Modern's 78rpm releases with a 20- prefix in the 600 series. Some are likely reissues with the first issue's release dates affixed to them. Example: Modern #627: Without retail price or A/B designations vs. Modern #20-627 reissue with retail and A/B designations Let's say that there are other: A) Modern label reissues with the release date of the original and different catalog # than the original Modern Music release... B) Modern #20-6## releases are reissues, with a release date belonging to the original release (without the #20- prefix bolted on to the root cat #). If they are found, I assume they should be added. But what should be done with non-first press reissue releases like Modern #20-627 and Modern #123? Erase the release date? -or- Message a moderator and ask them to make the reissue a "variant" (with a different cat #) of the original first USA release? Edited by moderator on 25th Sep 2017, 3:04 AM
