Hi Scott, welcome to 45worlds. Regarding sourcing reasonably priced 78's local auctions, gumtree, local free ads, buying ad in newsagent window and telling all your friends and family you're looking for 78's.
If you try the above methods you should pick up some interesting job lots but if you're only looking for a few specific discs then it's E-Bay or specialist dealers which won't be cheap.
And yes I've picked up records of all of the above (except Bill Murray) using the above methods.
