	ppint. Member since Aug 2012 6393 Points	- hi; sphere (uk), sphere books (uk), sphere books ltd. (uk) and sphere (australia)+ are all really the same publisher, and should be combined. set up as sphere books by the thomson organisation and publishing from 1967 - sold to penguin books who kept a few of the choice items and who then sold them onto robert maxwell's futura / macdonald futura / bpcc (etc.) - which, after he took an incautious leak on a yacht, were sold by the liquidators to the warner books publishing empire's uk arm, becoming part of little, brown uk - and iirc are currently part of livres hachette of france as hachette uk. the continuity of publishers (i)sbn codes - originally just (0-) 7221-, adding (0-) 7474- is a dead giveaway that they're the same publisher (or, later, publisher's imprint). (+ the two books listed as sphere books australia both give only the uk address in the indica, and one of them bears only a uk cover price.) Edited by ppint. on 5th Apr 2019, 5:15 PM
