Being disabled now, I'm not able to hit garage sales, yard sales, antique shops, or record shops a lot anymore even though I have found more than a few gems that way. It's a lot of fun, but it's also a crapshoot. Especially when the owner of a shop thinks that every 78 they have is valuable, or they want to waste your time when they say "let me look this up". I've walked out of quite a few shops when they hand me that line because they should have already looked it up. Facebook has several 78 buy, sell and trade groups. You can find a lot of great deals on records from sellers if there is something particular that you are looking for. And I do buy a record here and there on eBay, if I don't think the seller has lost their wits. I think the value function is a very nice thing to have myself. But I do agree that should be changed to "auction tracker". I own a lot of records that have little to no value. That doesn't mean that they are bad records. When it's all said and done, the value of a record is what you put on it as far as personal enjoyment, and how well you sleep at night knowing that you own a copy.
