Topic: A3 scanner.

Member since Jun 2014 3745 Points Moderator | Just tried firing up my scanner again... and the thin coloured stripes (mainly yellow) that had begun to appear on the scans, running the length of the image have now become thick bars of yellow... Must be dust, as I read somewhere this is causing my lamp to calibrate the white balance wrongly on start up, and carry that difference in contrast all down the page when it scans... so I'm going to have to crack it open and try the recommended fix of sticking a new white piece of paper on the underside of the glass, where the scanner takes the white balance from before setting off. Now... how to get into the bloody thing!?! (I know - the window... Look out below!)  |
