On the CDr point, in older formats, there used to be a clear distinction between acetates / test pressings, promos and other forms, but in the CD era, this seems to have broken down somewhat, as I've found a few Whitfiled Street CDr "acetates" (with the blue undersides) which were then reproduced and sent out as promos... so the labels did not always produce a separate item for a different function... so I think promo is the most all encompassing designation that indicates at least that it was not a stock copy or for sale to the general public.

(Except in your entry's case, it seems! :laugh: )
