We are having quite a ding-dong discussion on Foden's in its various iterations.

We all know that on the proper equipment shellac sounds great, but few of us have houseroom or strength to move or keep substantial numbers.

I would try the Universtity of Huddersfield, they have effectively become the main custodians of British Recorded Sound media thanks to a large collection of one of their professors passing to them which they do add to. Lockdown might make things difficult though.

One other thing that has happened with Brass bands is the changing of the Pitch of the Cornet in its natural open tone , for various reasons brass had departed from orchestras, but I think they are the same now, so to a tone trained ear the early (pre mid 1930s) there can be the feeling that tunes played sound 'wrong'.
