I've seen a late 1958 Pye 78's from Lonnie Donegan, but none from 1959. You'd think more would have survived with them being vinyl, but i'm still surprised so many of this batch weren't catalogued anywhere. Just goes to show we don't know what's hiding out there.

Pye Nixa scans have been put up today BTW!

Well, when you say they "weren't catalogued anywhere", I would assume that Paul Pelletier's label listings (published by Record Information Services) had details of them all; they are certainly listed at the Global Dog Productions website.

However, in terms of photographic proof, the images are invaluable, as it's possible those weren't available. Thanks for documenting them. So many late 78s from 1959-60 are listed in catalogues etc but have no images online. I guess the collectors who have them are less likely to be on sites like this. There's usually an auction listing for such 78s on archive sites like Popsike or Roots Vinyl Guide.

However, perhaps 78s which sold less well in that era won't have been sold on eBay. I tend to think that the #1 hits would have shown up on eBay by now, and that is why I'm sceptical that some from 1960 which have been listed by Pelletier et al were ever issued on 78.
