Hi

I have a friend that has recently purchased a rather large collection of Rock 'n' Roll/Rockabilly. Amongst the collection is a large amount of 78's. Would anyone know the best way to sell them as a job lot. He estimated the sale value at around £20,000 and wants around £5,000 for them. Is he unrealistic or do you think that he has a chance at that price? I haven't seen them so cannot comment but he did tell me that there were the odd Blues 78's in there as well. Apparently the original owner was an avid collector and had acetates as well so heavily into these genres. He has loads of LP's EP's and singles to sort through and would rather concentrate on them so wants to sell the 78's as a job lot..

I have posted a similar item on Facebook with the Record Collector group and have received some informative replies. The collection is based in Essex in the UK.

Any advice is most welcome.
Cheers
Mick
