Anybody ever see any orange Columbia 78's?
They look exactly like the standard red ones from the early `30's to late `50' but they were on a bright orange paper instead of red. It was about the same orange as on the Coral 78's from the `50's.
My guess is that they were a certain type of music, like, the black labels were sound effects, the green were mostly Irish, the blue were all classical.
In all my decades of collecting records, I've only ever seen those once about 10 years ago at some art house. I looked in the front window and saw dozens of 78's laid out on the concrete floor like they were supposed to be a carpet, or something! My guess was that people were supposed to walk on them and the "art"would be their actual destruction! Among the few that I saw, there were at least 4 that were Columbias with orange labels!
I just skimmed through 52 pages of them here and haven't seen a single orange one, yet..
