Iron Butterfly's In-a-gadda-da-vida is a whole side and is a fine precursor to prog via garage and psych.
I sound like an eBay seller...
MOD-PSYCH FREAKBEAT PROG DANCER!!!!
I would consider that psych. I thought of a number of one (or 2) track sides of that era: Harumi had a double with one of the 2 having one track per side, Canned Heat's "Parthenogenesis", The first Dreadful Great album, "Love Is" and "Every One Of Us" by The Animals, Marcel Marceau's Greatest Hits, Blind Faith, Cream had at least one album with a single track on one side, Hendrix's 3rd album, "Boom" by The Rascals, "Electronic Sound", "Two Virgins", "Life With The Lions" (I think), "The Wedding Album", "Live Peace In Toronto","Fly", "Sometime In New York City", Captain Beefheart's "Mirror Man", "Uncle Meat", "An Electric Storm" by White Noise, etc. But they aren't prog.
