I'm drawing a blank on information about a large and sturdy case for 78 rpm 12" shellacs that I've acquired. Details follow - any input or information welcome.

This one has a maker's name "R.V.W." and features specially designed cardboard pockets a little bit like old-fashioned suspension files but specially-constructed for the unit.- they're not symmetrical and have a clipped corner. They are designed so they can't be withdrawn more than a certain amount - there is an internal lip halfway along one side of the storage cabinet which catches on a protruding end of a metal reinforcer on the pockets.

There's one on the bay of E at the moment, minus the sleeves/dividers, though the bar they catch on is clearly visible.

I feel sure there must have been quite a number of proprietary storage solutions for 78s over time, apart from the ubiquitous "albums" and Winel cases. Those that have survived are often the worse for wear nowadays and candidates for something like "The Repair Shop". If the references don't make much sense to you, I should add that I'm in the UK.
