Topic: Potomac Label 78s

 | Pat-452 Member since Feb 2023 4 Points | Is anyone familiar with Potomac Label 10" shellac 78s? My late mother was an ice skating teacher in the 50s and acquired a number of Potomac 78s via mail order. Each record was similar to a 45rpm EP in that it had two tracks on each side and featured an electric organist playing various tunes in different tempos specifically for ice dancing. Sadly, only one of these records has survived and is in my collection. A Google search reveals nothing about these records. I wonder if any others have survived? They could well have been used to broadcast music in ice rinks up and down the country in the 50s and early 60s. |
