I did wonder if you were collecting recordings from 'The Missing Charts' book... although not everything you are after is in there. So I wonder if there is a common thread to your 'bucket list', or just things you are interested in hearing?

I have that Steve Waters book too. The errors I've noticed have been typos, and possibly something in an artist biography. Are there a lot of mistakes in it? I certainly think it should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially given its retrospective nature. How odd that it includes an Adelaide Hall recording which doesn't seem to exist, unless Decca withdrew it (unlikely?). The British Library has a copy of the RAF Dance Orchestra version of Where Are You see here.

Perhaps these are recordings listed by Percy Dickens on his 'bits of paper' that you mentioned! It seems doubtful that The First Waltz – Jay Wilbur & His Orchestra or This Is Worth Fighting For – Turner Layton were recorded commercially.

Unfortunately I don't have all the CLPGS label listings, but no doubt they'd be useful for checking things like this - see link. Their Decca book does list a couple of unreleased 78s though (without them being labelled as such).
