I don't know for sure that these Decca records were never issued, it's just based on the evidence I have: one by Jessie Matthews from a cancelled stage production, one by Vera Lynn (I think), and one by Ted Heath. The catalogue number for the latter was actually used for a Gracie Fields release, which, somewhat oddly, isn't listed in the book. I can only assume that the authors of the book used Decca files, but didn't cross-check them with the monthly release leaflets etc. The Matthews and Lynn releases aren't listed in discographies for those artists. From memory, the Lynn titles are classified as "unissued" in a listing of her recording sessions. This is from memory, as I don't have the book (yet). There's also no photographic evidence of these records, which isn't conclusive, of course. The Heath titles may have been issued with a different number. I'm not aware of another source that lists unissued records, but I would expect a discography to note it if that was the case (like, say, the Decca Records book by Record Information Services, which lists the 45s on the label). ARP = Air Raid Precautions?
