Boom Chic-a-boom was a track by the Camerons and also released on Cousins. Perhaps this reference mixed up the single with another group name.

I've found a reference to The Jive a-Leers which might be the same group.

It seems that there is at least a reference to this song with the Jiveleers here...

I've also found a roughly similar name mentioned "Four Jiveleers" who could have come from about 1960 with T-Bone Walker performing at the same time.
