It's a fact that Royal Oak Music Theatre is in the city of Royal Oak in the state of Michigan and that's what the venue details show at the moment. The problem is that promoters will often list the venue as being in the city of Detroit as, at a distance of 14 miles from central Detroit, the city of Royal Oak is often described as a suburb of Detroit. I've come across plenty of other examples of this for other US venues in the past few weeks. I may be wrong but adding Detroit to the address won't affect searches at all (and that's ignoring the factual inaccuracy) whereas adding Detroit to the venue name would affect searches e.g. Royal Oak Music Theatre [Detroit] or even Royal Oak Music Theatre [near Detroit].
