Short answer IMHO a]stick to what is there if venue already listed. b] if venue listed twice go to largest list. c] if new venue set up on city SPELLING with most venues. That seems easy enough but so open to venues being written up twice still. Long answer involves lots of other, mostly European cities/towns. Milan, Florence, Rome even, then further to Nuremburg, Cologne (Koln!!), Vienna, etc, etc. Considering this to be a UK site, and most input is in English my revised idea today is to use English name followed by COUNTRY language name in uppercase then = Turin, Koln, Vien, Roma, etc, - where known. Therefore uniting 2, or at times even more, pages for clarity. eg; Turin; ITALIAN = Turino Cologne; GERMAN = Koln Vienna; AUSTRO-BAVARIAN = Wean, & GERMAN = Wien. No brackets to distract from importance of local names. More ideas welcome.
