Oh yes - I knew that. I have some great 1980s Czech and Slovak language cover versions of western hits on Supraphon 45s (seeing as I am Slovak -- BTW).

After the fall of communism, a lot, all maybe, of their pop stuff got released on CD on Bonton with is somehow a part of Sony, I think. Bonton has a large shop in Prague that I have been

What I meant was how long 78s lasted.

I am guessing other Eastern European labels with 78s would be

Balkanton - Bulgaria
Amiga and Eterna - GDR
Qualiton - Hungary
Electrecord - Romania
Jugoton and the various RTV labels -- Yugoslavia
Pronit - Poland

Not sure about Albania
