I had a look on the web (nearest PC World is about 40 miles away) and no cheap ones showing up.

However I have just bought a new printer and tested a mouse scanner so I thought I would let you all know.

LG Mouse Scanner available for around £50 - waste of time, very clever bit of software and nice mouse however it can't cope with something as large as a 12" cover - basically as far this site goes a waste of time and my one is heading to ebay.

What I did buy however was an A3+ Epson WF7515 from Tesco direct for £129. Perfect (and the ink is cheap). The scanner actually only scans A3 not A3+ size (297 × 420 mm) however using Paint.net two scans merge together quiet easily to produce a full cover scan with some nice results.

This scan

is two scans joined with the join around the letter "N" in the bands name.
