GEMSMFAN 8th Feb 2018		Cassette Album ABBA - Waterloo (1974)	This was not released in 1974. The LP and 8-Track cartridge were available then only. Greatest Hits was the first Atlantic U.S. cassette followed by Arrival and ABBA The Album those all were released as the LP and 8-Track were. "Waterloo" and "ABBA" were released later. Maybe someone has a Schwann Catalog to when these first were released.

GEMSMFAN 17th Mar 2015		Cassette Album Buck Owens - Close Up (1969)	can't scan cassette shell as I replaced the cassette reels into a new shell when actual tape snapped and I spliced it and reshelled it. the original shell was damaged to open what was a molded, not screwed together shell. Cassette albums were usually recorded on poor or low quality tape, to keep costs down. When they got old, oxide would shed onto tape player heads.
GEMSMFAN 22nd Mar 2014		Cassette Single Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long? / (Hey You) Free Up Your Mind (2001)	can sharper images replace the originals without moderator approval? I edited/replaced images on 45cat, which were better than the originals, but they were removed. I was told I can add them as additions, but not edit another members originals.
GEMSMFAN 22nd Mar 2014		Cassette Album Various Artists - The Stereo Collector's Set--Volume 4: Favorites With A Foreign Accent	molded (heat sealed half) cassette shells vs. the ones with 5 screws shows how "albums on cassette" in many cases were of poor quality. low grade tape was used, which would in time shed oxide, dirtying tape heads. detailed information was also left off J-cards. mostly done to keep the price down.
GEMSMFAN 22nd Mar 2014		Cassette Album Various Artists - Soul Train Super Tracks (1976)	no cassette shell images. this tape had snapped and in order to resplice it, the molded shell had to be broken and the reels placed in a new shell with screws. unfortunately good quality tape wasn't used on most pre-recorded tapes, probably to keep the price to a minimum. also many cassette recorders/players were rough on tapes of poor quality, chewing up tape. like 8-tracks before them, albums on tape were basically so you could play albums on the go (the car).
