Dionne Warwick - Greatest Hits Vol 2
I think the addition to the cat number on yours makes this a different product, requires a new entry I think.

(Why is the "B" there anyway?)

Ringo Starr - Zoom In (2021)
After recent discussion about this on CDs, that it is an EP, I've changed this here cassette thingy to cassette single :)

Silver Beatles - The Silver Beatles Volume 2 (1982)
I've changed artist for this to "Silver Beatles", and added it as a pseudonym to The Beatles discography... so it now appears under their listing.

Needs a new front cover image for this Carpenters tape.

Meat Loaf - Midnight At The Lost And Found (1983)
New entry made, images moved, and both now linked.

(Have also corrected artist name here to: Meat Loaf - not: Meatloaf)

Oops... that's the one thing I didn't look at!

Meat Loaf - Midnight At The Lost And Found (1983)
OK, I'm going to throw this one out to opinions here...

...should a separate entry be made for the reissue or not?

Other than a hyphen in the catalogue number, a barcode, and a different label code, all looks pretty much just like a continuance of the original issue... but are these details substantial enough to warrant a separate listing?

(Oh, and I notice now I look a little closer, the appearance of CBS / Sony being additional labels)

Donovan - Universal Soldier (1983)
I'm going to leave this one here along with the German made one for now, as they are distinct in a couple of ways, which, while not enough to justify a separate entry for other items, might be significant here due to the date of release:

Country of manufacture
Barcode.

I'm not sure if they should be the same release for the same market, or parallel releases of the same issue for two separate markets.

More info required.

Faith No More - Digging The Grave / Ugly In The Morning (1995)
I've made Slash the lead label for this and the other Faith No More tape, and added London as Other Label.

The Ray Charles Singers - Songs For Latin Lovers
Odd question of the day:

Was Ray Charles actually in this group, or in any way involved other than the name?

(Should a link be made to Ray Charles discography, as a separate artist, or included in his discography?)

Magic Marmalade

Cassette Single
The Wombles - The Wombling Song (Underground Overground) (1998)
And I have changed the label to Columbia [Sony], in order that it appears in the correct discography.

In fact, both the date of 1998, and Sony appear on the back cover of this item.

Joe Dolan - Always On My Mind (1985)
Sometimes all you want to hear is a nice bit of easy listening swill... and nothing else will do! :)

(Maybe this is a new genre: ELS?)

I have added Harmac as an Irish label into the database, and changed all tapes to this, and finally deleted the UK version of that label...

... a brief tour of the internet has a consensus of sources that agree this is an Irish label, including this rather less than flattering appraisal: here

(Vinyl albums on 45worlds have it as such too).

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick And Tich - Wreck Of The Antoinette (1968)
So could these Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick, Tich, Stitch, Mitch, Computer Glitch, and so on EP cassettes be among the first cassette singles ever released?

The Jam - The Greatest Hits Of The Jam
I thought there were more of these here... I even added added a Fleetwood Mac one myself

(?)

However, there is a "space" over at Spaces for these.

(I'm sure they'd welcome the addition there, or if you let them copy it over :)

-Ah, that's it... they are on the 747 label, also using Thomsun Cassettes, although yours doesn't seem to have that label on it -

1st Bn. The Argyll And Sutherland Highlanders - Pipes And Drums Of The 1st Bn. The Argyll And Sutherland Highlanders (1968)
This one is going to take some work to get into shape, as each track (as listed in the inlay) is a medley by different composers, yet is listed by the leading title as I have entered it above on the tape itself, to the exclusion of all other titles.

Additionally, I was unsure as to how to enter the label - Music for Pleasure, Musicway, or Music For Pleasure - Musicway?

So I entered it as the last one.

I'll get images up for this shortly so that it can be considered by others.

Leo Sayer - Living In A Fantasy (1980)
Just fired up the old tape deck....

Once I'd troweled the carpet of dust and small animal carcasses of it, and run the head cleaner tape through a few dozen times, I found this was one of the few I had to hand to test the deck, and satisfy my curiosity...

(It was either this, or The Muppets)

... surprised by the quality of the audio actually, I don't know what it is, but when technology progresses, or changes we somehow get conditioned to imagine the worst of the older technology... like Pavlov's dog or something (Is that a correct analogy?) - You imagine what the audio might sound like, compared to a CD or something, and cultivate a disdain for the medium:

"It's old, so therefore it must be useless, and sound awful"

(Kind of thing)

But I think I can get some good quality MP3 files from them actually, if this is anything to go by.

And if so, I'll be buying all those abandoned (and super-cheap!) cassettes in charity shops by the ton.

Lots of cheap music!!!!

(I might try that Maria Callas tape set I saw in the loft later).

((Quite like this album too, actually))
