Magic Marmalade 9th Jul 2015		Cassette Album Various Artists - Wilde Rock Promotions (1979)	Don Williams would be about right age for the first track - Just a country Boy. But had a search on 45Cat for the other title, and couldn't see anything of that approximate date.
Magic Marmalade 20th May 2015		Cassette Album John Lennon - Imagine (1971)	Unsire about the date Greg, but as to the other quieries, it does state on the top right of the front cover that it is an Apple tape, so I'd go with that on that point. ...Secondly, the tape cat being consistent with that on the cover, which, as you say is G & L made, and also states it is a UK made and printed cassette, makes it UK for me. And finally, the "Made In U.S.A" is impressed in the cassette itself, so I think it is the tape stock only that is US, shipped to Blighty where it was used for this title. In this was it might be very much like the situation with CDs, where discs, cases,covers and inlays for one title are assembeld from available stock from all over... so if they ran out of satndard cassettes due to demand, they get a few blanks sent over from US to meet it. If it was something like a contract press, I think that would be signified on it in some fashion. (Unsure though if that eliminates the possibility of an issue for export though: "Here's a few thousand tapes G & L.... print us a ton of them" type thing).

Magic Marmalade 12th Jul 2014		Cassette Album Fleetwood Mac - Tusk Vol.1	Ah, thanks nboldock... I suppose the lack copyright info should give it away, along with the bizarre track listing. Since had a look on the web, and it seems this 747 outfit were quite notorious for their purloining of artist's material and bootlegging. It would also seem that a common practice with 747 was to grab 45 mins of an artist's material, stuff it on the tape, then fill the rest up with some completely random songs by artists beginning with the same letter... so there might be songs by other artists tucked away on any given tape! I'll have to dust off the tape deck and play this through to see if Jose Feliciano materialises! Will report back if I discover something.
