PhilMH 22nd Jun 2019		8-Track Patsy Cline - Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits (1973)	Label should be Decca (logo on front and back) and MCA (Canada) is just the company name, just as MCA Records, Inc. became the US company name in 1970, two years or more before the MCA Records label brand was introduced in the two countries. I suspect that this would be a 1971 or 1972 issue.
PhilMH 29th May 2019		Cassette Album Shirley Bassey - What I Did For Love (1979)	Hi Jasper, 1979 is just the copyright date for this compilation's original issue on United Artists, and Australian companies weren't using barcodes that early (only one or two US companies were then); I would say mid-80's, give or take.

PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Eric Burdon And The Animals - The Greatest Hits Of Eric Burdon And The Animals (1975)	If this is manufactured by PolyGram Inc.and distributed by PolyGram Distribution, Inc., it would be 1979 or later; 1975 issue would most likely have been on MGM, distributed by Polydor Ltd. (Discogs have an LP version of that).
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Richard Harris - I, In The Membership Of My Days (1974)	1979 at the earliest for this; this is ABC/Dunhill catalogue, which MCA purchased in January 1979. MIchael de Looper's Other Astor Labels listing has this as August 1979, which seems right (no later than May 1980 anyway, as that's when I have it in an AMSCAT catalogue).
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Cream - Disraeli Gears (1979)	This is at Discogs, and the company names shown (PolyGram Inc. and PolyGram Distribution Inc.) only came into use in 1978 and 1979, so this would be a 1979 or later reissue.
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album The Beatles - The Beatles (1973)	Is this on Apple or Capitol? Capitol issue would be a few years later than 1973.
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Waylon Jennings - Good Hearted Woman (1972)	This is a "Best Buy" mid-price reissue from 1980. Original 1972 LP catalogue number was LSP-4647, changed to AFLI-4647 later in the decade when it was moved to the top price point.
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Vera Lynn - Among My Souvenirs (1971)	I think the Drum logo issue might have been a little bit later than 1971; maybe 1972 or even 1973, but I don't remember exactly when, and Michael de Looper's listing doesn't give a date for the introduction of the drum logo. Earlier releases in the Drum series were just on their usual label and a different sequential catalogue number (Columbia TC-SOEX-9669 in this case).
PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Carmen Cavallaro - The Eddie Duchin Story (From The Film Soundtrack) (1971)	April 1982 release, according to the 1984 Music Master catalogue (looks right, as the MCA Records logo here is late 1972 at the earliest, MCA was still distributed by The Decca Record Company Limited in 1971, plus I recognise the catalogue number as being an 80's reissue series).

I would be inclined to think late 70's, if not very early 80's (no later than '83, when PolyGram introduced the new numbering system 8xx xxx-x for non-classical product).

PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Dusty Springfield - Ev'rything's Coming Up Dusty (1965)	1965 is the copyright date of the recording; the first UK Philips cassettes (including this one) seem to have been in November 1966, judging by an ad in that month's GRAMOPHONE.

PhilMH 27th May 2019		Cassette Album Connie Francis - Connie's Greatest Hits (1961)	1961 is the copyright date only, not the release date, because the cassette wasn't developed until 1962, and the first pre-recorded cassettes were released in Europe in late 1965, and the USA in July 1966. The MGM logo on the cover and insert was introduced in 1968, and as this 6-digit Polydor style of catalogue number was changed to 7-digits internationally in 1970, this would have been released between 1968 and 1970.
PhilMH 18th May 2019		Cassette Album Deanna Durbin - Movie Songs (1982)	1971 is just the copyright date of the compilation, which was first released by US Decca as THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKS FROM HER GREATEST MOVIES (DL 75289); there is no mention of The Decca Record Company Limited, which was MCA's UK licensee until the end of 1973. The 1984 Music Master catalogue gives April 1982 as the release date of this, which I think is correct because all label images I can find of the LP version show MCA's blue-sky-clouds-and-rainbow design which only came into use in 1980, plus THE BEST OF DEANNA DURBIN in the same series (MCL/MCLC 1634) was a 1981 release.

PhilMH 17th Apr 2019		Cassette Album Ella Fitzgerald - The Cole Porter Songbook	Not a 1976 release - that was with catalogue number CT-2-2511, plus there were no barcodes in 1976. Plus, PolyGram Records, Inc. wasn't formed until 1981, and this style of catalogue number wasn't introduced by PolyGram until 1983, along with the barcodes. [noted; date removed - mod]
PhilMH 17th Apr 2019		Cassette Album Ella Fitzgerald - The Special Magic Of Ella Fitzgerald (1977)	1984 Music Master gives August 1977 as the date for the LP version (2317 145), so presumably this cassette was released at the same time.

PhilMH 11th Feb 2019		Cassette Album The Doors - The Best Of The Doors	Hi More Floyd, this collection was also available on LP, 60345-1, and charted under that number in the week of 23 June 1986, so it is reasonable to assume that it was released earlier that month. Your copy would have been made in 1990 at the earliest, as that is when WEA Records Pty. Limited became Warner Music Australia Pty. Limited, and of course Elektra had already been renamed by then as well.
