| | Incidentally, rotating the cassette by 90 degrees before scanning, i.e. scanning it sideways (and then rotating it back to the correct orientation after scanning) will stop those light lines appearing on the cassette images :-) |

| | It has UK and International catalogue numbers on the spine so it's almost certainly a pan-European release, and definitely not solely German. |

| | Thanks for the info PhilMH (sorry for delay in replying). That's a shame really,as it would have made identifying the country where it was intended for sale a lot easier:( |

| | No, they're label and series codes, which normally equate to a price code as well. I don't know the specific meaning of the Y, but another one I can think of offhand is GA on Deutsche Grammophon's mid-price Galleria series. I don't think they should be considered part of the catalogue number - I have several CD's from the PolyGram group with various codes (on Deutsche Grammophon and Decca in particular) and the letters don't appear on the disc faces. If you look at the tape label here, the Y doesn't show. This should probably have POLH44 added as a second catalogue number. |

| | Are the letters after the catalogue number the country codes?.If so it would be handy to have a list somewhere as a lot of cassettes seem to be made in Germany. |
